Pay Rate: $14-16.50/hr + (Based on Experience)

The Company:

Our client is a wonderful apartment and townhouse facility that offers a wonderful scenery and features for their residents.

The Position:

As a Building Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of apartment and/or townhome units. You will be responsible for refinishing apartments prior to occupancy, which includes light electrical and plumbing, drywall and carpentry, HVAC and other appliances. Ideal candidates will be good working in a team and have great customer service skills.

  • Building/Apartment maintenance experience required

  • Hands-on experience with building repairs

The Location:

Located in Flint Township – just west of Flint City limits. Easily accessible from several main roads and in an area with several near businesses for convenience.

Previous apartment maintenance experience is a must. Candidate should be experienced in unit turns and basic plumbing as well as the ability to work as a team and independently. Experience and proficient technical skills required include but are not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drywall repair is essential. Candidate must enjoy working with others and have superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to, are as follows:

* Purchasing (and staying within the budget)

* Stock control & Materials utilization

* Refinishing apartments prior to resident occupancy

* Monitoring the physical security of the property to include: ensuring storage areas and secured entrances are locked; and adequate lighting is always maintained

* Upkeep of the grounds to include: Snow removal (sidewalks, common areas, parking lots); Trash removal; Lawn maintenance; Landscaping (flower beds, shrubs, etc.)

* Scheduling, supervising and/or monitoring all necessary repairs to the property.

Candidate must have proficient working knowledge of the following:

* Light electrical repairs

* Light plumbing work

* Carpentry, Masonry & Painting/Dry Wall

* Appliances

* HVAC & Boilers

* Maintenance equipment

* Pool maintenance

* Irrigation systems

* Replacing or scheduling replacement of: Broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, draperies locks
